How to use

Permissions that the launcher will need to work:
1. Access to device location data: for speedometer, odometer and weather
2. Access to the system settings of the device: to change the brightness of the screen
3. Access to photos, multimedia and files on the device: for the player to work and save settings
4. Access to notifications for 3 services:
4.1.  Music Service: for information on the music track and player interaction
4.2.  Navigation Service: for information from the navigator
4.3.  Notification Service: for information on the number of notifications

Our theme has 5 customizable buttons for launching applications (the 6th APPS button launches the application menu and cannot be changed). Each button has its own submenu. Thus, you can configure up to 23 applications to run. All submitted application lists.

Initially, the buttons are not configured and will not produce any action. To configure the button, make a long click on it. In the menu that appears, you can change the icon of the button, the name of the button and designate the application that will be launched when you click on it. To configure applications in the submenu, click the “+” button.

Our smart software has flexible design options. By a long click on the brightness icon. Editing topics has two modes: “LIGHT” and “EXPERT”.

The “LIGHT” mode has a minimal and sufficient set of tools for adjusting the color gamut. We recommend this setting mode for most users.

The EXPERT mode has more complex and flexible settings, allows you to change the color of almost any element.

There are 6 information icons. Depending on your choice, any 2 icons (and only 2 icons!) Can be displayed in the main interface of the main screen. Select “Connection Information”, check two icons from the list provided.

Viet Smart Car launcher can display the current weather in your area. Information is provided by openweathermap.org, it requires a GPS connection and an Internet connection. Our software transfers the coordinates of your position via the Internet to the openweathermap.org service and in response receives the name of your area, current weather and 5-day weather forecast with 3 hour intervals. If there is a GPS signal and an intervention connection, the weather information is updated every hour, as well as when the launcher starts and exits the “sleep” mode. If there is no Internet connection or GPS, the launcher will display information from the weather forecast that was received during the last connection to the service.

It is impossible to change the source of weather information, as well as the frequency of its updates. If this information does not suit you, or your device does not have a permanent Internet connection, you can hide the weather information and replace it with a notification counter. You can do this in the launcher settings in the “Notifications” menu item. The notification counter shows the number of notifications in the status bar of the android system

Viet Smart Car has integration with Voice Control. When you click on the button with the microphone, the Google voice search built into the Android system is launched. It is currently not possible to assign another voice assistant to this button. In the launcher settings, this “quick button” can be replaced by:

1. Parking time – the indicator counts the time since the car stopped (GPS speed = 0)
2. Quick launch of the camera – a special icon in the form of a camera, on the click of which the application launch with the camera can be assigned

Our software can control the brightness of the screen (not on all devices). To do this, it must have access to change the system settings of Android. Change the brightness by pressing the brightness button (icon of the sun or moon) in the lower right of the screen. There are 3 modes: day, night and automatic mode (indicated by the additional letter “A” on the icon). In automatic mode, the screen brightness switches automatically to day or night mode, depending on the time of sunrise and sunset. The time of sunset and sunrise is determined by the GPS coordinates and updated once a day, the Internet is not needed for this.

In the launcher settings in the “Screen brightness” section, you can separately set the screen brightness for day and night, as well as turn off the automatic brightness mode.

Some devices do not support screen brightness control. In this case, you can use the brightness adjustment by applying a mask (configured in the launcher settings). This method of controlling brightness affects only the launcher itself and does not apply to other applications.

Viet Smart Car software has the function of sleep mode, which can be activated by an event: turning off the external power, turning off the screen (set in the settings). Hibernation affects only the launcher itself, “freezing” its internal processes, and does not affect the Android system in any way.

When going into sleep mode, the following occurs:
– The connection between the launcher and the GPS module of the device is disconnected
– Background services stop and close (music service, navigation service, notification service)
– Interface update methods stop

When you exit sleep mode, the following occurs:
– The connection of the launcher with the GPS module of the device is turned on
– Background Services Launched
– Launcher launcher animation starts
– Updated all interface data
– Weather updated

Tip:
Many modern head units do not turn off when the ignition is turned off, but go into hibernation mode with minimal energy consumption. At the same time, when the ignition is turned on, the OS instantly “wakes up” and is ready for operation. For this mode, we recommend using “sleep mode when the screen turns off” in the settings of Agama. At the same time, when the ignition is turned on, the launcher will appear on the screen with a beautiful starting animation, and all data will be updated.

Sometimes, when loading Android, the launcher may not be in the foreground, but hidden by other launched applications (for example, Radio). The “Run on top of all windows” mode is necessary so that after launching the launcher or leaving the launcher from the “sleep” mode, agama always appears on the screen above. This is achieved in a simple way. After starting the system, our launcher monitors the “focus” of its window (whether it is on top or not) and if the focus is lost, the launcher imitates pressing the “Home” button and again returns focus. Focus tracking stops when you click on the launcher screen, or 30 seconds after the start.

The “over all windows” mode is only possible when the launcher is set as the default home screen.
